As we approach the finale of this season, it is my absolute pleasure to introduce Episode 7, featuring our 2023 VinFuture Special Prize for Women Innovator Laureate, Professor Susan Solomon from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT – United States)

Globally recognized for her contributions to atmospheric science, Professor Solomon’s pioneering work on the Antarctic ozone hole led to the development of the Montreal Protocol, a landmark international agreement to protect the Earth’s ozone layer. This agreement aims to prevent up to 200 billion tons of CO2 emissions by 2050. In this podcast, she dissected the necessity and complexity of achieving this goal, expressing evident delight in seeing the numerous global efforts made to secure it.
