  • submit online nominations;
  • subscribe to our newsletters;

Events

The VinFuture Foundation organizes various public events, such as the VinFuture Public Dialogue Series, the VinFuture Prize Award Ceremonies, and other activities.

The information we collect depends on the event. We only collect information necessary to fulfill our obligations to you, and to ensure proper identification of registered participants.

How we collect your personal information

All information is collected from you upon registration. In the case of repeated events, we may store your information to be able to invite you again to future events.

How we use your personal information

We collect and process personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Such purposes include:

  • Communication in connection with an event;
  • Ensuring proper identification at the event;
  • Quality assurance and development of future events; and
  • Archiving for research purposes.

 

We also use photography, video, and audio recordings to publicly promote events and to share events remotely with those who are unable to attend in person. This material is also used in our communication efforts and to provide an archive of the events.

Newsletters

The VinFuture Foundation sends newsletters to our subscribers, members of the Prize Councils, Pre-Screening Committee, nominators, and external reviewers on a monthly basis.

In general, we only collect your email address, but in certain cases, we also ask you for your name and organization. We only collect information necessary to fulfill our obligations to you.

Such information does not identify you individually.

Your personal information may further be shared with parties that process personal information on our behalf, i.e. data processors. Such data processors are, amongst others, our IT and system suppliers.

Your personal information may also be shared with parties that are independent data controllers when processing your personal information, such as, when applicable, law enforcement authorities (for security purposes in connection with events).

The VinFuture Foundation is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information and data from unauthorized alteration, access, use, destruction, or disclosure. Our measures to protect the security of your personal information include:

  • Storing the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities;
  • Restricting access to personal information to the VinFuture Foundation employees, members of the Prize Council and Pre-Screening Committees, external reviewers, contractors, and agents who need access to that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution if they fail to meet these obligations; and
  • Performing internal reviews of our data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems in which we store personal information.

If a password is used to help protect your accounts and personal information, it is your responsibility to keep your password confidential.
