The InnovaConnect Series was piloted by the VinFuture Foundation in 2024 at several key universities in Hanoi, including Hanoi University of Science and Technology, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Hanoi University of Public Health.
Through in-depth seminars on pressing global issues, the InnovaConnect Series has drawn thousands of leading scientists from around the world, introducing world-class experts to Vietnam’s research community. Notably, it has created opportunities for Vietnamese and international researchers to engage in practical collaborations, including joint research projects, capacity-building initiatives in research and teaching, faculty and student exchange programs,… Moreover, the VinFuture Foundation has provided initial funding for several collaborative research projects initiated by participating institutions.
To further expand the reach of the InnovaConnect Series in 2025, the VinFuture Foundation will be accepting applications from Vietnamese institutes, universities and research organizations interested in fostering international scientific collaborations.
Interested organizations can apply by visiting the VinFuture Foundation website to download the necessary application forms and documents, provided below. The application period will start on January 2nd, 2025, and will be open for applications in four rounds throughout the year: January 2nd, April 2nd, July 2nd, and October 2nd. Partner organizations will have 60 days to complete and submit their applications (in digital format) to the following email address: secretariat@vinfutureprize.org.
The VinFuture Foundation will then evaluate the applications to identify those that meet the criteria of the InnovaConnect Series. The results will be announced to the partners within 60 days of the end of each application period.
To address the unique needs of each organization and align with domestic and global scientific trends, while upholding its mission and vision, the VinFuture Foundation provides tailored support by funding the invitation of international experts for activities jointly agreed upon with its partners. These collaborative activities must be implemented and completed within six months from the date the Foundation’s funding approval is granted.
As stated by Dr. Thai-Ha Le, Managing Director of the VinFuture Foundation: “The InnovaConnect Series has progressively established itself as a crucial link, fostering a platform for professional discourse, academic exchange, and promising collaborations, while delving into groundbreaking advancements in science and technology. This year, we have made the decision to broaden the program’s scope, extending this scientific bridge to all institutions and universities across the nation, thereby addressing the escalating demand for learning, partnership, and technology transfer, as well as access to global knowledge, ultimately contributing to the enhancement of educational standards and scientific research in Vietnam.”
The nationwide expansion of the InnovaConnect Series is one of the key activities of the VinFuture Foundation in 2025, marking its 5th anniversary. The scientific connection initiatives implemented by the VinFuture Foundation have significantly enhanced the expertise of Vietnamese scientists while simultaneously expanding international collaborations, driving sustainable growth within the scientific community. Moreover, the Series has played a pivotal role in building a solid research foundation, inspiring passion and creativity among future generations of Vietnamese scientists.
