Representing a nation rising on the global science landscape, the Vice Minister of Science and Technology of Viet Nam, Assoc. Prof. Bui The Duy, reaffirmed Viet Nam’s commitment to becoming a bridge-builder — positioned at the intersection of innovation and responsibility — and to actively contributing to global principles that keep AI safe and aligned with human values.
Throughout the symposium, distinguished speakers shared critical perspectives on the future of AI, spanning ethical frameworks and governance mechanisms, as well as the societal, democratic, and security implications of advanced AI systems.
Closing the symposium, Dr. Le Mai Lan — President of the University Council – VinUniversity and Vice President of VinFuture Foundation — announced two strategic initiatives: the VinFuture Policy Brief on AI Ethics and Safety, and a new Master Class on AI Ethics and Safety led by Professor Tan Yap Peng, Provost of VinUniversity, former Deputy Dean and Interim Dean of the College of Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).
With this shared conviction, VinFuture stands committed to safe, ethical, and human-centered AI — driving global collaboration and ensuring technology contributes to shared prosperity.
