With over 35 years of expertise in energy, environment, and sustainable development in Africa, Prof. Sokona is recognized as a leading global voice in climate policies. He has previously served as Co-Chair of IPCC Working Group III on Climate Change Mitigations and held key leadership positions such as Executive Secretary of the Sahara and the Sahel Observatory (OSS) and Coordinator of the African Climate Policy Centre (ACPC).
