Centered around discussions, discoveries, and research on critical impacts from environmental issues to human well-being, the VinFuture Foundation will host the second InnovaConnect seminar on June 19th at the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (HUS). With a sprawling campus and nearly 7,500 students in 97 majors and fields of study, HUS affirms itself as Vietnam’s leading university in the field of basic science. Notably, HUS boasts partnerships with 70 recognized academic, social, and industrial entities from 35 countries and territories worldwide, highlighting its global impact and aspiration to expand its network even further.

Under the theme “Impacts of Organic Contaminants on Ecosystems and Human Health: Challenges and Solutions,” we are honored to present an array of distinguished speakers who are leading the charge in environmental sciences:

  • Professor Kenneth Leung, Chair Professor of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry and Dean of School of Energy and Environment at City University of Hong Kong (China). In 2018, he was selected as one of the top 100 Asian Scientists by Asian Scientist Magazine. Since 2021, he has been recognized as one of the top 2% most cited scientists in marine biology and hydrobiology in the world by the Stanford-Elsevier Indicators.
  • Professor Ming Hung Wong, a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, Advisor and Research Chair Professor (Environmental Science) at the Education University of Hong Kong (China). He has published over 850 SCI papers. Professor Wong is ranked 6th for 3 years and 8th for 1 year (career-long ranking) globally in Environmental Science according to the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University, 2020-2023.
  • Assoc. Prof. Tu Binh Minh, a Senior Lecturer and Expert in the field of analytical chemistry and environmental chemistry; and is presently affiliated with the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-HUS). Assoc. Prof. Minh has been the author and co-author of more than 150 international publications with more than 7,800 citations.
