As global demand for sustainable energy surges in response to climate change and resource depletion, renewable energy technologies are rapidly reshaping how we produce, store, and consume power. In this context, the VinFuture Foundation, in collaboration with the International Science Council, hosts the InnovaTalk titled “Powering the Future: Innovations and Challenges in Renewable Energy.”
The session brings together leading experts to examine not only the technological frontiers, but also the challenges that accompany a just energy transition, especially in developing regions.
Chairing the InnovaTalk webinar is Prof. Daniel M. Kammen, the James and Katherine Lau Distinguished Professor of Sustainability at the University of California, Berkeley (USA), and also Member of the VinFuture Prize Council.
Joining him on the panel are:
- Dr. Faten Attig-Bahar, Deputy Director, Future Africa Campus, University of Pretoria (South Africa)
- Prof. Youba Sokona, Former Vice-Chair, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC); African Institute for Sustainable Energy and System Analysis (AISESA, Mali)
The session also welcomes the special guest, Assoc. Prof. Phong Dinh Tran, Vice Rector, University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH, Vietnam)
