The rising popularity of vapes and electronic cigarettes, particularly among young people, has become a major public health concern.
To address these concerns, the VinFuture Foundation brings together a distinguished panel of experts in the upcoming September InnovaConnect, titled “Preventing the Harmful Effects of New Tobacco Products: Evidence from Vietnam and Other Countries,” to exchange lessons learnt and seek preventing solutions. The event will be hosted at Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH – Vietnam) on September 24th, 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM. This event will focus on the detrimental effects of new tobacco products and explore prevention strategies implemented in Vietnam and globally.
Joining us on the panel are:
- Assoc. Prof. Becky Freeman from the School of Public Health, The University of Sydney (Australia), whose research interest includes tobacco control and how social media influence public health
- Ms. Bungon Ritthiphakdee, Senior Advisor of Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA) and Executive Director of Global Center for Good Governance in Tobacco Control (GGTC)
- Prof. Hoang Van Minh, Rector of Hanoi University of Public Health (HUPH – Vietnam) an expert in health economics research methodologies, and medical statistics
