Energy technology is becoming one of the most important drivers of emissions reduction and is shaping sustainable development models. The field is also raising broader questions beyond technical performance. Attention is increasingly turning to whether emerging technologies can be scaled effectively, integrated into larger systems, and supported by the industrial, commercial, and policy conditions needed for long-term adoption.
In this context, the VinFuture Foundation, in collaboration with the International Energy Agency (France), will convene the InnovaTalk webinar titled “Energy Technology Innovation and Supply Chains: From Materials to Systems”.
Through expert presentations and discussion, the session will examine recent advances in energy technology, consider the approaches shaping current efforts to reduce emissions, and reflect on the challenges likely to influence the next phase of development and deployment. By bringing these perspectives together, the webinar seeks to underscore the central role of energy technology in building sustainable, resilient, and future-ready energy systems.
The webinar is chaired by Prof. Daniel Kammen, Member of the VinFuture Prize Council, Johns Hopkins University and University of California, Berkeley (United States)
The session will feature distinguished speakers:
🔹 Dr. Simon Bennett, International Energy Agency (France)
🔹 Dr. Peter Levi, International Energy Agency (France)
🔹 Assoc. Prof. Cao Thang Dinh, Queen’s University (Canada)
