In this eighth episode, we are honored to feature Mr. José Antonio Guridi – UNESCO’s AI consultant who leads AI readiness assessments in Chile, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, and Cambodia. With a strong background in engineering and public policy, he has held key advisory positions within the Chilean Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and Innovation, as well as the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism. In these roles, he led the creation of the Chilean AI Policy and the Future and Social Adoption of Technology Unit. He is also the co-founder of Foresight, a consultancy focused on the future of technology and policy.  

Dr. Guridi brings a distinctive perspective at the intersection of engineering, governance, and social equity. We are pleased to join him to explore what it truly takes to make AI work for people and society — turning principles of ethics and fairness into real actions that improve human lives.
