Dear Distinguished Guests,
I am delighted to introduce the second newsletter of the year 2023 for the VinFuture Foundation. In the past few months, we have witnessed significant developments, and we are eager to share them with you.
Our second and final “Call for Nominations” webinar in 2023 was a resounding success, with nearly 150 participants from different parts of the world. We are thrilled by the overwhelming response and extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the participants. In March 2023, we also successfully hosted the inaugural InnovaTalk webinar, which focused on precision agriculture. The webinar shed light on how this technology can help increase value in the production chain, and we were pleased with the insightful discussions that took place with nearly 200 participants from all over the globe.
Furthermore, we have some exciting news to share with you. We are honored to have Professor Soumitra Dutta of the University of Oxford on board as a member of the VinFuture Prize Council. With his interdisciplinary background in social sciences, technology, and business, and his valuable global perspectives, we are confident that he will make significant contributions in selecting the most deserving Laureates.
We also have many wonderful stories to share about our scientists in the VinFuture family, including Professor Quarraisha Karim, Professor Konstantin ‘Kostya’ Novoselov, and Professor Alta Schutte. Their groundbreaking work continues to make a significant impact on society, and we are proud to have them as part of our community.
Finally, we would like to remind you that the nomination portal for the VinFuture Prize’s 2023 season will close on May 15, 2023, at 2:00 pm (Vietnam time, GMT+7). We encourage you to spread the word and nominate deserving individuals who are making a significant impact in their respective fields.
We hope you will enjoy reading this newsletter and learning about the exciting developments at the VinFuture Foundation, which is committed to the mission of “Science for Humanity.” Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to working together to create a better future for all.
Sincerely,
Dr. Thai-Ha Le
Managing Director of the VinFuture Prize
